The Frey Auto Coolant Reservoir designed specifically for Mercedes-Benz (C-Class) W204 and (GLK-Class) X204 models power by M271, M272, M274 and OM651 engines. As the engine runs and the coolant temperature rises, the coolant expands due to heat. Without an expansion tank, this increase in pressure could damage hoses, the radiator, or the engine itself.The expansion tank acts as an overflow reservoir. It temporarily stores the excess coolant, keeping the system sealed and under proper pressure. Manufactured using heat-resistant plastic, coolant level sensor and pressure-release cap (rated between 1.2–1.5 bar) which raises the boiling point of the coolant, allowing the engine to operate more efficiently without boiling over.
