QuiQuiRiQui Madrecuishe Mezcal One of the wild or semi wild expressions available seasonally. QuiQuiRiQui Madrecuishe Mezcal is made by Isabel Rios in El Sitio del Palmar, Oaxaca. Isabel recently took over production at the family Palenque after her husband Natalio sadly passed away, she is doing an incredible job and we are really honoured to be able to work with her and buy this outstanding Madrecuishe. Semi wild means wild seeds are planted by our farmers in the nursery or on community or private fields and when transplanted, left to grow as in the wild (Truly wild agave are increasingly scarce so we feel replanting wild seeds is a more responsible way to enjoy these types of agave). Agave Madrecuishe is part of the Karwinskii family that also includes Cuishe, Cirial, and Tobasiche and they take between 12-16 Yeats to mature. It grows mostly in dry climates, and typically takes a tall, cylindrical shape. 70cl 47% ABV
