Description Pondxpert EPDM Pond Liner 19′ 6” x 16′ 4”. EPDM (ethylene propylene diene Monomer) is a synthetic rubber with properties very similar to butyl rubber pond liners. It has a slightly reduced rubber content which helps to keep the price down to reasonable limits. Butyl rubber pond liners are known as the best in terms of desirability for pond builders. This pond liner offers good flexibility for the more intricate pond designs. Most importantly, a perfect alternative to a Butyl rubber pond liner at a better price. EPDM is a more modern fabric that takes the best elements of butyl liners to a new level. It is black and textured just like butyl and when you put two samples together, it is practically impossible to see or feel any difference. Pondxpert’s EPDM pond liners are 0.75mm thick, this is the standard thickness. You can a buy thicker pond liner, but, tthe issue will be the weight at only a marginal gain in strength. Additionally, thicker pond liners can leave pleats when installing into the corners of complex shapes. These pleats can retain water and get smelly over time. EPDM Pond Liners stay flexible over a very large range of temperatures, making it sufficient for any backyard fishpond or koi pool.
