Product Info Our newly reformulated Mac’s Mud Buff (MB2) is a traditional, iron-bearing, plastic midfire clay body made from 100% New Zealand clays. It offers excellent throwing and handbuilding properties, ideal for both small and large-scale work. What’s changed? MB2 has a few key differences compared to the original Mac’s Buff: – Slightly higher shrinkage – More vitreous at cone 6 – Increased thermal expansion for improved glaze fit Note: Due to the more vitreous nature of MB2, firing above cone 8 may result in warping or bloating. We recommend testing for your specific application. – Mesh size 50 – Dry shrinkage 5-6% – Cone 6 – Total shrinkage 12-13%, Absorption 1-1.5%
